Terratek is a leading renewable energy contractor serving Southwest BC and specializing in consultation, design and installation services for solar thermal (hot water), solar PV (electric), wind power, geoexchange and electric vehicle charging stations. Energy Monitors also available for purchase.
Terratek is a licensed Electrical Contractor (#102707) and Plumbing Contractor. Our staff are qualified by the Canadian Solar Industry Association (CanSIA) as solar thermal installers, certified SolarBC installers, and include University trained Renewable Energy Technicians. Some of our staff are also LEED Accredited Professionals ( LEED AP) and members of the ASTTBC (Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of British Columbia).
I recently purchased an Enerworks solar hot water system from Terratek. Terratek made the whole process very easy. Their installers were very professional. The collectors look like two skylights on my roof and the pump turns on even during rainy days! I would recommend Terratek to anyone looking for a solar hot water system.

Q. 'In what year did you start your business? Tell us about your company history?
A. Terratek has been operating since 2007. Landon Aldridge, Principal for Terratek Energy Solutions Inc., has been involved in the commercial, multi-family residential and resort construction industry for over 17 years. Landon gained tremendous exposure to the Green Building and Renewable Energy markets early on in his career working in Southwest United States. Landon is a principal of Terratek and oversees the overall operation of the company, maintaining project budgets and schedules. Landon has a diploma in Building Technology from B.C.I.T. and is a LEED® Accredited Professional. Landon is also a founding member of the Comox Valley BCSEA. As a “Top 40 Under 40” in the Comox Valley award recipient, Landon was recognized for his “environmental values, high quality workmanship and the community minded vision he brings to the (renewable energy) industry.”
Q. What type of business do you operate — what do you sell, or what services do you provide and to whom?
A. Terratek specializes in the design, sales and installation of solar hot water, solar electric, wind and geoexchange systems, electric vehicle charging stations and energy monitoring solutions. Serving Vancouver and Vancouver Island we've worked with hundreds of homeowners, over 30 schools, and a multitude of commercial and municipal clients from the Mini Dealership in Richmond, to the Victoria General Hospital.
Q. What led you to work in this field?
A. Terratek employees, including in-house certified solar installers and tradesmen, come from a broad range of backgrounds, with construction and technology the focal point of our knowledge and experience. Scott Fleenor, Principal for Terratek Energy Solutions Inc., has been in the construction industry for over 17 years as a project manager, foreman and safety supervisor. Scott is a principal of Terratek and also oversees the sales and marketing for the company as well as developing and implementing long-range plans and goals to ensure continued growth and stability with the company. Scott has a Commerce degree from Royal Roads University and is a founding member of the Comox Valley BC Sustainable Energy Association. As a recent “Top 40 Under 40” in the Comox Valley award recipient, Scott was recognized for his “Unique rapport, offering his vast knowledge and technical experience as a resource to clients who are looking for guidance before, during and after installations.”
Q. What is the goal of your business at an ecological level, what are you trying to achieve?
A. Quality products and exceptional installations are a driving force behind our company, no better evidenced than the recognition we received from SolarBC, a provincial solar incentive program that ran from 2008-2010. We took the honour of SolarBC Contractor of the Year Award all three years running. SolarBC went on to become the most successful solar hot water pilot program in Canada, of 14!
