A. 40 years

Q. What type of business do you operate — what do you sell, or what services do you provide and to whom?

A. We’ve always designed and built with the intention of improving quality of life, a tradition that has resulted in innovative green-built communities like Carsten Crossings, which was awarded the Energy Housing Value Award by the National Association of Homebuilders in 2007.

Q. What led you to work in this field?

A. Being in the building industry for so long, we recognized the need to retrofit older homes with the same energy savings we were equipping new homes.

Q. What is the goal of your business at an ecological level, what are you trying to achieve?

A. Green Home Solutions knows that “doing it right” means applying the latest building science principles – like tight building envelopes with effective ventilation; ducts that deliver clean air rather than pollutants; and heating and cooling systems that work for the house, not the utility companies.
