A. Stone Conservation Supplies was setup by 2 keen individuals who identified a need for a supplier that sold more than just one type of product. The aim is to provide a simple website that is easy for people to buy everything they need for conservation and restoration projects.
Q. What type of business do you operate — what do you sell, or what services do you provide and to whom?
A. Stone Conservation Supplies is an online shop selling lime mortar, lime putty, plastering tools, stone mason tools and other traditional building materials.
Q. What led you to work in this field?
A. One of the founders of Stone Conservation Supplies is an ICON accredited conservator who found he couldn't order everything he needed from one supplier.
Q. What is the goal of your business at an ecological level, what are you trying to achieve?
A. We aim to provide ecologically viable products and keep traditional building methods and tools a part of modern society, so people can appreciate heritage and listed buildings for years to come.
Q. What are your plans for the future of your company?
A. We aim to offer a wider inventory and start workshops showing people how to use the tools that we sell such as masonry dummy hammers.
