Q. What type of business do you operate — what do you sell, or what services do you provide and to whom?
A. Stylish Organics is an e-commerce boutique that combines smart styling with earth friendly thinking. We have an inspiring collection of products hand selected for their sustainable properties. Our choice of manufacturers adhere to green practices. Many of our products are made in the USA or are ethically sourced from organizations that globally support women.
We present an easy to shop collection of smart green clothing fashions, modern eco furniture, organic fiber home decor, unique environmentally friendly accessories, all natural skin and beauty care, organic pet products, and a selection of sustainable gift items.
Q. What led you to work in this field?
A. Management retiree, advanced studies under my belt, years of volunteering,raising a beautiful daughter and three businesses behind me – interesting how it takes a good part of your lifetime to realize what is important to you. I am not just referring to the obvious like family, good health, friends, and financial success. I’m referring to more subtle things like the deep breath of fresh air I take early every morning as I walk down to my barn to feed my horses. It makes me think how lucky I am to live in ‘the country’ where the air smells fresh, away from city traffic and factories. As I see more farm lands disappearing around me I realize how concerned I am with the negative effect we humans have on our lands, waterways and air. I believe we all need to join in and reduce our carbon footprint and do more to preserve the natural environment. Over the years I have tried to be respectful of our environment and also be concerned with my personal well-being by living a healthier lifestyle. Being one of those people with allergies I have always looked for products without chemicals or preservatives whether it is food, laundry detergents or personal care products. I have even avoided clothing constructed of man-made type fabrics which bother my skin. Searching for environmentally friendly products made from organic or sustainable materials has always been a challenge. it occurred to me there must be many more people searching for the same type of products. In developing www.stylishorganics.com I have succeeded in bringing together a variety of very upscale products made from organic, sustainable or recycled materials. Under 'one roof' an individual can find quite a selection of organic and eco-friendly products ranging from clothing, furniture,and toys to pet products.
Q. What is the goal of your business at an ecological level, what are you trying to achieve?
A. The goal of Stylish Organics is to encourage people to live a greener lifestyle by providing an easy to shop collection of organic and sustainable products. By keeping the product selection fashionable, upscale, and unique with an eye toward earth friendly, customers quickly learn they can remain chic while making green choices.
Q. What are your plans for the future of your company?
A. Stylish Organics will continue to do all of the leg work in researching products that meet the criteria of earth friendly and fashionable, and offer these products in an easy to shop venue.
