Q. 'In what year did you start your business? Tell us about your company history?
A. We are Charlotte Rhoades & Kirstie Adamson, two eco friendly crafty mama's!
We have come together to form EcoCreate to spread our love of all things art and craft in an environment specifically designed to promote eco friendly UK designer makers.
All of the shop owners on our website are artists, designers and makers based in the UK, all of whos work is produced in an ethical way with minimum impact to the environment.
Q. What type of business do you operate — what do you sell, or what services do you provide and to whom?
A. Marketplace - Allows UK Eco friendly makers to set up an online shop within our specifically designed marketplace for Eco Friendly Art & Craft
Directory - We are building a directory for sourcing supplies and finding tutorials & inspiration for eco crafting.
Blog - Our blog is packed with upcycling and environmetally friendly art and craft tutorials
Q. What led you to work in this field?
A. Kirstie - A junkmail and magazine collage artist and revamp crafter with a passion for eco friendly creating. After completing a degree in applied arts Kirstie went on to study webdesign and has been working in the industry for several years.
EcoCreate was the perfect project to combine her skills. Kirstie is very excited to have realised her and Charlotte\'s dream to create a multi shop ecommerce website that promotes and brings together a diverse range of environmentally friendly UK makers.
Charlotte - Charlotte's background is in Art and Design, having studied it for many years before starting a family.
Her passion for conserving the environment and the natural world is behind a lot of both her art and craft and parenting choices.
Q. What is the goal of your business at an ecological level, what are you trying to achieve?
A. To promote eco friendly UK makers and the use of upcycled and sustainable materials in art and craft
