The Green Hotel in Mysore

The old Chittaranjan Palace in South India, built for Mysore’s royal princesses, has been restored as the Green Hotel and as a model for sustainable tourism. The hotel incorporates, wherever possible, energy saving devices such as solar heating and low energy lighting. The natural control devices include tilapia, mosquito-eating fish placed in small ponds in the hotel grounds.
