Information, book retail, campaigns. A nonprofit grassroots organization dedicated to educating people about the many benefits of a vegan lifestyle. Run exclusively by volunteers and working on a shoe-string budget, Vegan Action has built up chapters in the U.S. and overseas, with thousands of members spanning the globe.
The vegan village lists those organizations and groups in the UK and Ireland which are run by vegans on vegan principles. Listing is free of charge, but is only open to vegans.
Countless thousands of people have benefited from joining the Society, initially, with advice and support to help with the transition to a vegan diet, through to help with more practical issues finding non-animal products and maintaining a vegan lifestyle within a largely unsympathetic society.
